Obituary

Benjamin H. Parker, 85 of Maris Grove, died on July 8, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.


Born in Chester, Ben was a longtime resident of Aston and has lived at Maris Grove for the past five years.


He was an operator at Sun Oil Company until his retirement in 1985. Ben was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran during WWII and received the Army of Occupation Medal. He was a member of St. Paul's P.E. Church and a 75 year member of the Chancel Choir. He was also a 50 year member of Concord Lodge #625, F.& A.M., the NUR Shrine and their Colonials Fife and Drum Corps, the Sun Honor Club and the Greenleigh Chorus for many years and sang with several choruses at Maris Grove.


He was son of the late Thomas and Annie Nutt Parker and brother of the late Florence Parker.


He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Lois LaVelle Parker; sons Thomas B. Parker (Marty) and Larry C. Parker (Linda); four grandchildren Meredith, Melanie, Derek and Kenneth and great grandchildren Ryan and Mackenzie.


Burial Rite and Eucharist 10:00AM Friday at St. Paul's P.E. Church, 301 E. Ninth St., Chester.


Visitation 6:00 to 9:00PM Thursday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston with a Masonic Service at 8:15PM, and 9:00 to 9:45AM Friday at the Church.

Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
