Barry F. Newell, 64, of Folsom died February 4, 2017 at Taylor Hospice Residence. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Florence T. Moore Newell and resided in Norwood before moving to his late residence in April 1994.


Barry served in the US Army during Vietnam and was employed as a Precision Inspector for Boeing Co. for 28 years before retiring in 2014. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church and Local 1069 U.A.W.


Barry was predeceased by his sister, Sr. Theresa Francis Newell, S.S.J. and his niece, Kathleen Simon.


Survivors: loving husband of Regina M. Lilly Newell, his wife of 28 years; his Golden Retriever Murphy; his siblings, Joseph F. Newell, Jr. (Denise), Gerald F. Newell (Kathleen), Theresa B. Guinan (John), Florence T. Newell and Kathleen T. Chapman (Gerard); also, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.


Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 200 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA 19033


Visitation: 7:00-9:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2017 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078 and 9:45-10:45 AM Saturday at church


Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
