Barbara A. Rumig Miller 75, of Honeybrook, died November 23, 2013 at Brandywine Hospital. She was born in Chester and lived in Eddystone before moving to her late residence 6 years ago.
Barbara was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Rumig.
She graduated from Clifton High School, class of 1956. Barbara and her husband owned and operated the Quarter Corner arcade in Eddystone. Barbara became a widow with four young children to raise, but with a determined spirit to provide for her family, she took office and computer training in the city of Chester. With high aspirations, Barbara became one of the instructors there teaching basic reading, writing and computer skills to other women wanting to get better paying jobs. Thereafter, Barbara enjoyed working at Holsten & White Associates before retiring and moving to Honeybrook, PA.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, William E. Miller, II who died on April 13, 1984.
Survivors: children, William E. Miller, III, Eva DiMichael, Adam Miller and Wendy Garcia (John); also her 3 grandchildren, Michael Gillespie, Heather Shanle and John Garcia, Jr.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Wednesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park, where friends may call after 9:30 AM.
Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery
