Barbara C. Howard Johnston, 83, of Aston died on May 25, 2021 at her home.  Born in Chester, daughter of the late John and Carolyn Pilkington Howard, she lived in Boothwyn before moving to her late residence 56 years ago.

Barbara was a graduate of Chichester High School, class of 1955, where she played clarinet in the school band and then attended Goldey-Beacom College.  She had previously worked at the Marcus Hook Federal Credit Union and had most recently been a server at McCall Field Golf Course, before retiring in 2008.  Barbara was a member of the Aston Seniors and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.  She loved going to the beach and attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's school sporting events. She was also known as Mom-mom Birdie by her great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald G. Johnston who died on November 8, 2006 and was mother of the late Donald G Johnston, Jr.

She is survived by her children; Diana Venuti (Bill),  Dan Johnston (Donna) and Doug Johnston (Michele), her siblings; Shirley Robinson and John Howard, also nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service 10 AM Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call after 9 AM.  Burial Mount Hope Cemetery.
