Barbara A. Garcia 72 of Aston, died December 8, 2013 at Lankenau Hospital.

Born in Lebanon, PA she lived in Aston for the past 41 years.

Barbara was a billing clerk at Christiana Care for 15 years, retiring in 2012.

She was a graduate of Lebanon Valley High School and was a member of the Church of St. Joseph, the Rocky Run Y.M.C.A., the Irish Society of Wilmington and the Conchester Lanes Bowling League. She also served a Judge of Elections in Aston Township.


Barbara was wife of the late Joseph E. Garcia, her husband of 45 years, who died in 2012 and daughter of the late Arthur and Lillian Brandt Emerich.


Survivors: her children Angela Marie Garcia Long (C. Douglas), Joseph E. Garcia, Jr. and Lisa Garcia Cipriano; her siblings Ardath Aulenbach and Ronald Emerich; also her grandchildren Sydney Lamoureux, Nadia Cipriano, Emily Long and Natale Long.


Funeral Mass 10:00AM Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, PA 19014 where friends may call after 9:00AM. Burial Mount Hope Cemetery.
