Barbara G. Byrne (nee Goodie), 92 formerly of Ridley Park died on March 23, 2025.  Born and raised in Darby, the daughter of the late Joseph and Adele Rohanna Goodie, she lived in Virginia during the 70's before moving back to Ridley Park in 1979.

Barbara was a graduate of West Catholic High School, class of 1950.  She was an active member of The Church of St. Madeline where she was a member of the Sodailty. She was on the committee to establish a library in St. Madeline's school and ran the monthly hot dog day.

She was the loving wife of the late John J. Byrne, Sr., Mother of John J. Byrne, Jr., Madeleine "Lynne" Dunbar (Stuart), Gary J. Byrne (Genny) and Anita Hoerman (David), sister of Cecilia Michalowich and the late Delphine Covvey, grandmother of Jack Byrne (Savannah), Christie Hoose (Jason), Amy Conneen (Fran), Mollie Shirlow (Brandon), Trevor Dunbar, Elizabeth Byrne, Marrisa Hoerman, Meredith Hoerman, Gillian Hoerman and the late Ethan Byrne. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Monday, March 31, 2025 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call 9:15 to 10:15 AM. Burial Private.
