Assunta R. Mastriani

Assunta "Sue" R. Mastriani (née Buzzetto), 91, of Ridley Park, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Born in South Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Giacomo Buzzetto and Rose Buzzetto (née Ferante). She lived in Folsom before making Ridley Park her home 35 years ago.

Sue was a devoted member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church and was formerly employed by Cigna Insurance Company. She was also a longtime member of the Ridley Park Seniors and enjoyed exercising at Lift. Proud of her Italian heritage, Sue found great joy in baking, especially her beloved Christmas cookies and homemade ricotta pies. She also loved ceramics, drawing, coloring, and other creative projects. Above all, she cherished time spent with her loving family. Her warmth, generosity, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Sue was the beloved wife of Tobias L. "Larry" Mastriani, with whom she shared 71 wonderful years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Susan Udovich (Bruce) and Debra D'Ascenzo (Gabriele); cherished grandmother of Kyle D'Ascenzo (Avinash), Blair Udovich (Jeszel), Nicole D'Ascenzo (Stephen), and Brett Udovich; and proud great-grandmother of Amara D'Ascenzo, Ashwin D'Ascenzo, and Isla Udovich. She was also the last surviving of eight siblings, who she is now at home with in heaven.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
