Arthur J. "Otto" DiLoreto, 88 of Swarthmore, died February 9, 2012 at the home of his nephew in Delaware.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Southwest Philadelphia before moving to his late residence in 1957.
He was a welder for Penn Shipbuilding Company in Chester, retiring in 1989 and previously worked at Baldwin Lima Hamilton Locomotive in Eddystone.
Otto was a WWII veteran, serving in the US Army Air Corps.
A member of Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church, he enjoyed football and was a former Little League football coach and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Otto was the son of the late Vincent J. and Mary Grace DiLoreto, and brother of the late Grace Marinelli, Rosemarie Calvaresee, Kay DiGiacomo, Anna DiLoreto, Donald, Nick and Tony DiLoreto.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Helen T. Carroll DiLoreto, his sister Mary Klinz and brother Vincent J. DiLoreto, Jr. (Dee), his sister-in-law Betty Carroll and also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Mass 1:00PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church, 1000 Fairview Rd., Swarthmore.
Visitation 11:15AM to 12:15PM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park.
Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
