Argirios "Ari" Karavasilis

Argirios "Ari" Karavasilis, 84, of Atlantic City, NJ died on October 27, 2026. Born in Lesvos, Greece, he was the son of the late Ignatious and Nerajula Karavasilis.

Ari was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Atlantic City and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Egg Harbor. Before his retirement in 2021, Ari was a self-employed Jitney Driver and had previously worked at the Gold Nugget Casino. He was also a member of the Jitney Association. Ari enjoyed working on his car, collecting coins and also enjoyed napping, relaxing and being with his family.

He was the loving husband of 38 years to Maria Georgias Karavasilis, the brother of Efstratios Karavasilis (Eutratia) and is also survived by his best friend Hussein M. Hussein, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral Service 11 AM Friday, November 6, 2026 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Rd., Media where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM. Burial will follow the service in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
