Anthony C. "Tony" Ferragina, 89, of Ridley Park died September 11, 2016 at Taylor Hospice Residence. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Dominick and Rosina Mondelli Ferragina and moved to his late residence 58 years ago.
Tony served in the US Army during WWII and was last employed as a driver for Delaware County Community Transit for 10 years. He previously worked for Stroehmann Bakeries for 13 years as a Driver/Sales. Tony was a member of the Church of St. Madeline and the Briarcliffe Post #761 American Legion. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing pinochle and going to the beach, but most important was his devotion to his home, wife and family.
Survivors: loving husband of Caroline "Carol" Fascenda Ferragina, his wife of 65 years; devoted father of Richard A. Ferragina (Donna) and Debra Reiley (James); grandfather of Candace Salen (Greg), Courtney Reiley and Kristin Reiley; and great grandfather of Zachary and Alexis Salen
Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078, where friends may call from 9:15-10:15 AM
Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
