Anthony C. "Tony" Skoutelas, 47

Anthony C. "Tony" Skoutelas, 47, of Glen Mills, died of cancer October 20, 2011 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Chester, grew up in Holland, Bucks County, Mr. Skoutelas lived in Havertown prior to moving to his late residence eleven years ago.

Tony was a graduate of Council Rock High School in Newtown, PA, he received a B.S. Degree in Business from Villanova University, a Law Degree from Seton Hall Law School and was licenced to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, his Teaching Certification from West Chester University and his Principal Certification from Penn State University. He was one of the founding members and Headmaster of Odyssey Charter School in Wilmington for the past six years and previously worked in the Wissahickon School District.

Mr. Skoutelas was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church where he served on the Church Council. He was also a member of Ahepa Wilmington Chapter and several other professional and community organizations. He was an avid college sports fan, especially Penn State Football and Villanova Basketball. Tony enjoyed running but most important was his devotion to his family.

Survivors: his loving wife of 18 years of L. Daphne Yiannos Skoutelas, devoted father of Panos Anthony Skoutelas, Charissa Martha Skoutelas and Ariana Voula Skoutelas, son of Peter and Harriet Eliades Skoutelas, brother of Paul P. Skoutelas (Denise) and James P. Skoutelas (Maria), also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral Service: 11 AM Monday, October 24, 2011 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Road, Media, PA 19063 (Middletown Twp.)

Visitation: 5 to 9 PM Sunday at 9:30 to 11 AM Monday at the church

Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery
