Anne "Nan" Mallon Donohue Penston, 89, of Media, died on March 4, 2014 at Taylor Hospice Residence.


Born in Clifton Heights, she lived in Springfield and Clearwater, FL before moving to her late residence 14 years ago.

Nan was a manager for Mellon Bank for 20 years. She was a graduate of Clifton Heights High School, class of 1942, where she was a cheerleader and acted with the Drama Club in school plays.

Nan was a member of Nativity BVM Church; was an avid reader, enjoyed Philadelphia sports, the beach and playing cards but most important to her was spending time with her family.

Nan was wife of the late Charles B. Donohue, her husband of 37 years, who died in 1985 and also Phillip A. Penston; daughter of the late Augustine and Agnes Manley Mallon; and sister of the late Dee Mallon.


Survivors: her children, Charles P. Donohue (Violet), Judie A. Ashworth (David), Joseph P. Donohue (Eileen) and Joyce E. Koleszarik; her grandchildren, Amy, Chuck, Alon, Jim, Rebecca, Sean, Lainie and Trevor; also her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Rosie & Ava; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM Friday, March 7, 2014 at Nativity BVM Church, 30 E. Franklin St., Media where friends may call 9:45 to 10:45AM
