ANN CAROL PARSONS WOOD (aka Grannie Annie) Died at home in Aston on December 16, 2022. Born in Mobile, Alabama on July 22, 1934, moved to Chester, PA with her mother (Marie) and father (Conrad Parsons) in 1940. She attended lmmaculate Heart of Mary grade school and Notre Dame High School, Moylan, Class of 1953. After graduation worked at Scott Paper Company as a secretary in the Legal Dept. for 5 years, during which time married Jack Wood, her beloved husband of 45 years, at time of his death in 2001.

Mother of three sons - Greg (Suzie), Mark and Steve.  Grandmother of Ashley (Eric), Alexandra (Adam), Madison, Laura Beth and late twins Olivia and Emma. Great grandmother of Aiden, Gabriel, Jamie, Jessie, Wyatt and Lily Rose. Many very special nieces and nephews. Brothers Dr. Richard Parsons (Ginny) and the late Joseph (died 2002). Special "sisters and daughters" through love-Karen, Beverly (deceased), Susan, Michelle and Cathy.

Moved with family to Aston in 1965 where she lived until her death. Choir director and soloist at Church of St. Joseph, Aston, for 5 years. Cub Scout leader and instructor for 5 years. Worked as secretary to the Chair of Nursing and Health Sciences at Neumann University for 30 years. Member of 1,000 voice choir at the 41st lnternational Eucharistic Congress in Philadelphia in 1976.

After retiring, began an interactive reading program for children pre-K thru third grade in 18 schools, 3 libraries and 5 HeadStart programs in Delaware and Chester Counties, as Grannie Annie. Also, acted in TV and print commercials for 15 years. Active in college and community theater and the Neumann University Chorale (35 years) traveling abroad with Chorale members singing in Germany, Bavaria, Austria, Czech Republic and Japan. With members of Neumann Chorale sang as part of the Christian Music Concert on stage at Carnegie Hall, NYC
