Angelina Elvira (Meloro) Aulisa, 91, of Aston, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Seasons Hospice, Christiana Hospital. She was fondly known as Mom or Mommy, Grandmom, or Angie by those who loved and admired her.
Born in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy, February 7, 1922, she emigrated by herself at age 17 to Marcus Hook, PA. She learned to speak English, and was employed as a seamstress at the Keystone Factory in Philadelphia until the birth of her first child. She married Dominic Aulisa of Marcus Hook on May 8, 1954. They had three children, Daniel born in 1956, Tina born in 1959 and Anthony born in 1960. The family moved to Aston in 1960 where they were active members of St. Joseph's Parrish. She loved to cook and take care of her family. As her children grew up, she went to work at the Franklin Mint.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dominic and is survived by her children and grandchildren: Daniel Aulisa, his wife Annie, and their children Michael and Diana, all of Wilmington, Delaware; Tina Aulisa and fiancé Gene Fisher of Aston, PA; Anthony Aulisa and wife Karen of Lake Elmo, Minnesota; and her favorite pets, Pugsley and Whiskers.
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Saturday at Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014 where friends may call from 9:00 to 9:45 AM.
Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery.
