Alyssa D. Nixon (nee Newsome), 36 of Lester died October 11, 2015 at her home. Born in Upland, she had lived in Folcroft and Florida before moving to her late residence 10 years ago. She was employed as a Register Nurse at Norristown State Hospital and had previously worked at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital.


Alyssa was daughter of the late Cathy A. Wright Newsome.


Survivors: her husband Richard A. Nixon, Jr., daughters Hannah Woods and Sarah Nixon, sisters Fallan N. Savage (Joseph), Kyleigh B. Newsome and Jordan L. Newsome, grandmother Sara Wright, mother-in-law Mary Nixon, aunt Sandra Smith (James "Smitty"), also 13 nieces and nephews.
