Alvin J. Herr, 90 of Glen Mills, died on June 19, 2023.

He was born in Norristown to the late John Alvin and Wilma Schroeder Herr and lived on Lake Walleupaupack in the Pocono's before moving to Glen Mills.
Alvin was a Zone Service Manager for General Motors until his retirement in 1997.

He was a member of the Honesdale Masonic Lodge and a graduate of John Harris High School in Harrisburg.  He was the Founding Father of Methacton Ice Hockey Team and one of the founding Fathers of the Quakers Ice Club. Alvin was an avid outdoorsman who loved skiing, fishing, hunting, boating and camping but most important to him was his loving family.
Alvin survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Robinson Herr; his children Dennis Herr (Susan), Sandra Mulroy (Dan) and Alan Herr (Denise); also, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral service 2:30PM Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston where relatives and friends may call after 2:00PM.
