Alice O'Brien, age 91, of Ridley Park died in June of 2023.  Born in Southampton, England, she was the daughter of the late Benjaman and Gladys Colley Bartlett.  Alice came the United States and settled with her husband in Philadelphia in 1954 and had been a resident of Ridley Park since 1960.  Alice loved being a homemaker, enjoyed travelling, but most important to her was her loving husband, children, grand and great-grandchildren.
Alice was a loving wife of 69 years to William O'Brien, mother of Virginia "Ginger" O'Brien-Petraglia (husband John), Stephen O'Brien (companion Cheryl), Stephanie Sweeney (husband Glenn) and the late Beverly O'Brien.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Alice had a winning personality and a bright smile. Always ready to chat, she was charming and engaging, with a wonderful laugh and was always good fun.
Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
