1939-2019

Alice T. Ellwood Achuff, 79, of Eddystone died January 4, 2019 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Born in Ridley Park and raised in Upper Providence, daughter of the late Robert and Mary Mooney Ellwood, she lived Upland before moving to her late residence in 1972.

Alice was a graduate of Notre Dame High School for Girls, class of 1957 and attended Jefferson Hospital School of Sterilization. She was employed at Sacred Heart Hospital and Crozer-Chester Medical Center before retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and was a former Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. Alice crocheted baby blankets for family and friends and enjoyed cross stitch and painting, but most important was her family, especially time with her great-grandson.

Alice was wife of the late Robert F. Achuff, Sr. who died on April 1, 2016 after 58 years of marriage.

She is survived by her children; Karen McBride (Roger), Michelle, Robert F., Jr. and Brian (Susan) Achuff, her sisters; Mary Elizabeth Young, Catherine A. Foy, Patricia Young and Barbara Stretcher, also eight grandchildren and a great-grandson. Funeral Mass 10 Thursday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022 where friends may call 8:45 to 9:45AM. Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
