Alfred C. Savitski, 94, lifelong resident of Eddystone, died April 22, 2018 in the home where he was born. He is the son of the late Anthony and Theresa Slavanski Sawicki.
Alfred was a graduate of Eddystone High School and served in the US Army during WWII and the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed by E.I. DuPont as a Pipefitter for many years before retiring in 1985. Alfred was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and loved golf, fishing, crabbing on the Chesapeake and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He was a "Mr. Fix-It" and would help anyone in need. Most important to Alfred was his family and he was devoted to his wife. He was a great brother, uncle and friend.
Alfred was predeceased by his wife, Mary Dea Savitski, who died March 18, 1987; and his siblings, Edward J., Peter, Marion, Stanley and Anthony Savitski, Helen Leonard and Pauline Norris.
He is survived by his brother, William Savitski, of Milford, MA; also, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022, where relatives and friends may call after 9:00 AM
