Alfred Restino, 96 of Ridley Park died March 11, 2011 at Crozer Chester Medical Center.
Born in Crum Lynne, he lived in Ridley Park for the past 41 years.
Mr. Restino was a mechanic for the former American Viscose Co., now FMC in Marcus Hook, retiring in 1979 and previously worked at Irving Mills in Chester.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, receiving the American Theater Service Ribbon and the Victory Medal.
An avid gardener, he loved growing and propagating figs, also repairing lawn mowers and bicycles. He was a patron of the Arts and was CFO of Janet Restino Productions.
He was husband of the late Margaret J. Davis Restino, his wife of 51 years, who died May 14, 1993, son of the late Vincenzo and Maria DeFrancisco Restino and brother of the late Ralph and Marie Restino.
Survived by his children James W. Restino (Connie) of Eddystone and Janet M. Restino of New York, NY, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass 10:00AM Friday at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park.
Visitation 8:30 to 9:30AM Friday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park.
