Alfred J. Peters, 88, of Milmont Park died February 7, 2011 at Connor Williams Nursing Home.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, son of the late Alfred and Otillie Frey Peters, he was raised in Fleetwood, PA and has lived at his late residence for 56 years.
He was a machinist at the former Westinghouse Electric in Lester for 43 years, retiring in 1983.
Mr. Peters was a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran, receiving the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, the Meritorious Unit Award, the American Theater Service Medal, the Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He loved fishing, hunting, camping, skiing and was a member of Trout Unlimited.
Survivors: His wife of 59 years, Jean M. Eisenhauer Peters, children Linda Peters of Drexel Hill, David J. Peters of Conowingo, MD and Al Peters of Broomall, brother Henry Peters of Fleetwood, PA, grandchildren Brian, Katie, Julianne and Alyssa Peters.
