Alexsandra "Anne" Mamenko DiSabatino, 85, of Aston, passed away on January 7, 2015, at Riddle Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. Anne was born in Chester, the daughter of the late Alexander Mamenko and Ekatyryna Kahnowec, who were originally from the Ukraine.
She was employed as a waitress and then a defense worker during World War II. Anne was married in 1952, moved to Linwood with her new family and settled in Aston where she was a wife, homemaker and loving mother for her entire life. Anne had extended family members in the area and many friends and neighbors who appreciated her hard work and diligence in the Aston neighborhood. She enjoyed gardening and working outdoors at her home. Her character will be missed by many.
Anne is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Alberto S. DiSabatino, who died on April 8, 1998; and her siblings, Leona Zurlo, Marie Carbone and Walt Mamenko.
Anne is survived by her son, Gregory, of Aston, and her estranged daughter, Barbara and her family, of Landenberg, PA; her grandson, David A. Runkle; also her brothers, Ray Mamenko and Alex Mamenko.
