REVEREND ALBERT J. SANTORSOLA

1957- 2020

Reverend Albert J. Santorsola, Pastor, Saint Rose of Lima Parish, Eddystone, died suddenly on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

Father Santorsola was born on April 26, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He is the son of Arman Santorsola and the late Loretta J. Aquilino Santorsola.  Father Santorsola attended Stella Maris Parochial School, Philadelphia, Saint John Neumann Catholic High School, Philadelphia, and Temple University, before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.

Father Santorsola was ordained on May 17, 1986, at Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia by His Eminence John Cardinal Krol.  Father Santorsola served as Parochial Vicar, Saint Donato Parish, Philadelphia; Saint Pius X Parish, Broomall; and Corpus Christi Parish, Lansdale.  He also served on the faculty at Saint John Neumann High School, Philadelphia, and Bishop McDevitt High School, Wyncote. Father Santorsola served as Parochial Administrator and Pastor at Saint Rose of Lima Parish, Eddystone, since June 2018.

A Private Burial was held at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, on Saturday, September 5, 2020. Most Reverend Timothy C. Senior will celebrate a Memorial Mass for Father Santorsola at Saint Rose of Lima Church, Eddystone on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 11:00 A.M.  Reverend William J. Chiriaco will be the homilist.

Father Santorsola is survived by his father Arman A. Santorsola, and his two brothers; Michael A. and Armand M. Santorsola.
