Albert J. Flacco, 91

Lifelong Member of Our Lady of Peace Church


Albert J. Flacco, 91, died February 16, 2012 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital. Born in Philadelphia and reared in Ridley Township, Mr. Flacco has been a lifelong resident of Milmont Park. He was also a lifelong member of Our Lady of Peace Church and attended daily mass.

Albert was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and was employed by Philadelphia Electric Company of 43 years, retiring November 30, 1990. He had been a volunteer at Riddle Memorial Hospital since March of 1991 and previously bowled with the PECO League. He enjoyed Philadelphia Sports, golfing and bowling and loved collecting toy trucks.

He was husband of the late Louisa A. Pedicone Flacco who died March 3, 2001 after 54 years of marriage, son of the late Anthony and Carmela Salvatore Flacco, brother of the late Susan Edwards, Anthony and Connie Flacco.

Survivors: father of Anthony "Tony" M. Flacco (Maria), brother-in-law of Elizabeth Mangini, Rita M. Sarmousakis (Greg) and Joan Flacco, uncle of Kenneth Flacco, also survived Judy McGrath (James) and his grandson, Ryan McGrath.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA 19033

Visitation: 9:15 to 10:15 AM Tuesday at the church

Entombment: Lawn Croft Cemetery
