Albert F. Boyd, 81, passed away on September 29, 2021. Born in Darby, the son of the late Albert and Marie Booth Boyd, he lived in Clifton Heights before moving to Aston 57 years ago with his wife Elizabeth "Betty".
Al was a graduate of Bonner High School, class of 1958 and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving as a B-52 mechanic, with duty station locations including Little Rock, AR and Rota, Spain. He was employed at Reynolds Metals in Chester, PA, and BP/Tosco refinery in Marcus Hook, PA. Al enjoyed traveling around the country with Betty on Starr Tours, including memorable trips to Alaska, including a cruise, helicopter landing on a glacier and to Nashville TN. Al also enjoyed water color painting, wood carving, bird watching, and metal detecting for historic artifacts including arrow heads and cannon balls. Al was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, especially enjoying the Eagles Super Bowl win.
Al was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Anne "Betty" Bellew Boyd, to whom he was married for 56 years, his brother James J. Boyd and sister Ann Marie "Nancy" Tasseff.
He is survived by his children Albert P. Boyd, Carolyn M. Danks (Joseph), and Robert F. Boyd (Maureen), and grandchildren Sherilynn A. Davis (Mark), Megan M. Boyd, Gregory S. Boyd, Lauren C. Boyd, and Matthew R. Danks.
Funeral Liturgy 11 AM Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM. Burial Mount Hope Cemetery.
