Alan Conrad Edwards, 81, passed away on December 28, 2018 at Hospice House at Ridley Park.

A native of Ridley Park, Alan, known as ACE, loved being a Parker as he was an excellent athlete playing basketball, baseball and cross country. He was a graduate of Ridley Park High School, class of 1956 and attended Temple University.

Alan served the country in the Army and worked for United Airlines for 39 years. He made a positive impact on many young adults by serving as both Boy Scout Leader and Girl Scout Assistant Leader. Alan loved wood working and was a talented carpenter.

Alan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Kathy (nee Folts), his children, Scott Edwards and Susan Kennedy, his son in law, Chuck Kennedy, and his sister Etta Schwender. Alan will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Lori Ambrogi, Christine Varacalli, Michael Edwards, Layne Kennedy and Cameron Kennedy, his great grandchildren Evan Ambrogi and Vivianna Varacalli, and his nephews Bill Folts, Larry Folts, and Frank Schwender.

A Memorial Service in memory of Alan will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Lazaretto Ballroom, 99 Wanamaker Ave, Essington, PA 19029 starting at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. Memorial donations in memory of Alan can be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Wilmington, Delaware where he volunteered or to the Hospice House of Ridley Park.
