Achilles "Al" Monte, 81, of Ridley Park, died January 9, 2015 at his home. He lived in Philadelphia before moving to his late residence 44 years ago. Al was a member of The Church of St. Madeline and was employed as a Security Officer at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He was predeceased by his father, John Monte.

Al was the husband of Anita Andaloro Monte, married 57 years; father of John Monte, Lisa A. Crawford (Daniel), Donna Tittaferrante (Cesare) and Anthony Monte; and grandfather of Ariel and Daniel Crawford, Christina and Stephanie Tittaferrante.

Funeral Liturgy: 11:00 AM Monday, January 12, 2015 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, where friends may call after 10:00 AM.

Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery
